Gauri Research Centre is a clinical research institutionwith a chain of investigational sites in Jammu & Kashmir. Gauri Research Centre is an integral part of Gauri Kaul Foundation (GKF).

The vision of GRC is advancing medical knowledge through research to optimize medical practice.

Mission is to provide an excellence in patient care, education, research, community service with innovative therapies by facilitating access to cutting edge clinical research opportunities.

GRC facilitates the timely execution and completion of high-quality clinical research at investigational sites. The office provides a variety of services to assist Investigators and sponsors with all aspects of clinical research for conducting phase I to IV trials. The staff has extensive training & experiences to ensure that studies are conducted in accordance with sponsors' standards as well as with local & International regulations and current guidelines for good clinical practice.

GRC is a single point contact to initiate clinical research from your ideas or sponsored protocol to approval and initiation of the study.

We provide services in academic leadership to full-service clinical trial management capabilities, including site monitoring, data management, statistical analysis, safety monitoring, and clinical events classification, in addition to clinical expertise, guidance on protocol development, protocol writing.

Gauri Heart Centre in Chanapora and Prasad Joo Khan Heart Centre, Hawal is state of art for heart diagnostics with clinical team comprised of medical doctors, nurses, technicians, and research experts. The trial centers have various testing facilities like stress tests, ECG, Ambulatory BP monitoring, Echocardiography, Doppler studies, Cardiac biomarker tests like BNP, NT-proBNP, PT (INR), Troponin I, and D-Dimer.

We have a research and education collaboration with Kashmir Clinics Group, a chain of multispecialtyhospitals in Kashmir, with the objective to foster academic and scientific collaboration in the fields of biomedical research. It is a center for excellence in the field of Cardiology, Endocrinology, Neurology, Neurosurgery, Nephrology, Chest Medicine, Sleep and Allergy Disorder, Psychiatry, Gastroenterology, Pediatrics, CVTS, Oncology, Gynecology, Geriatrics, Urology, Orthopedics, IVF,Ophthalmology,Plastic Surgery, Dermatology & Cosmetology and Rheumatology. It has various testing facilities like Electrocardiogram (ECG), Echocardiogram (ECHO), Ultrasound, Doppler Studies, CT/MRI, Digital X- Ray, Holter studies, Sleep Studies. It also has a clinical Lab with Hi Tech Analyzers, IPD Facility of 30 beds and aModular Theatre.

Leadership Team:

Dr Upendra Kaul (Director)
Well-known Cardiologist and Academician with more than 4 decades of experience in conducting large multicentric investigator initiated sponsored trials and participated as National Lead Investigators, Chairman, Co-Chairman, Steering committee member, DSMB Chair of many global projects. Dr Upendra Kaul is founder director of Gauri Kaul Foundation. He has shaped the cardiovascular field by directing some of the most influential and complex trials in recent decades. His series of landmark randomized stent trials are conducted under the acronym “TUXEDO” which has contributed to key advances in the treatment of cardiovascular disease and played an essential role in bringing treatment paradigms to patients. He has published more than 650 + articles and books. He is currently Editor in Chief of Asia Interventions and Joint Editor of Euro Interventions. He is Course Director of AICT-ASIA PCR and INDIA LIVE.He is a recipient of Padma Shiri and Dr B C Roy Award. Dr Kaul is a MD, DM, FCSI, FSCAI, FAPSIC, FACC, FAMS.

Priyadarshini Arambam (Director)
She has expertise in developing and conducting clinical research projects for pharmaceuticals, medical device companies, doctors and various academic institutions with an experience of over 18 + years. Her research work is mainly in the field of Cardiology and has been presented in various prestigious national and international conferences. She has conducted many training programs in Clinical Research and has delivered many lectures in international and national forums. She has held various roles as ‘Regional Coordinator’ for Duke Institute of Clinical Research Institute, USA for two of their large multi-centric global projects (TECOS & IMPRIVE IT) and for many other renowned institutions.She is a certified international surveyor for SIDCER and North Chapter member of ISCR. Priyadarshini has Masters in Biotechnology and PhD scholar in Public Health.

Dr Zubair Saleem (Director)
He is a noted Geriatrician with 10 years of clinical experience and 4 years of research experience in Geriatric Medicine and Gerontology. He is also expert in Home Based Care, palliative care, telemedicine and providing holistic health care for the elderly. His work is mainly in the field of Senior Citizens under his mission Gauri Old Age Mission (GOAM).
